She told him he lied to her about his family, his wealth, and his past. Johnson said, “I just now felt comfortable telling the story because, for the longest time, I was so embarrassed, beating myself up, and feeling a lot of shame that I let this person into my life.” I thought this was an important part of my journey to healing.

People jumped into her comments or shared her videos to talk about how they had been lied to by people they were meeting. The series went viral.

The woman named Johnson says she met her husband, whose name was Legion, on a dating app. They were quarantined together during the pandemic and got married after that. There were many red flags in the relationship, which she ended because she was finding out so many lies.

This has made a lot of people wonder how common it is for people to be tricked and scammed online, especially when they’re meeting somebody. The Internet Crime Complaint Center says that since the pandemic, there has been a rise in internet scams, and a lot of people are falling for them.
