A 40-year-old man was not in a medically induced coma after being assaulted outside the Super Bowl Stadium on Sunday, during San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams NFC Championship game.

The man was found by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics stationed in SoFi stadium’s Lot L around 4pm after the responders in charge received a call saying “man down in need of medical assistance,” according to Ingle Police Lt. Geoffrey Meek’s statement about the incident.

The man is identified as Daniel Luna from Oakland based on Fox KTVU report. Lt. Meeks said that Luna is currently hospitalized at Harbor-UCLA who is now in a stable condition. Responders of the scene said that Luna apparently suffered from assault focusing on his upper body and facial area.

Despite being found in the stadium police believe that the man was not assaulted due to his team’s affiliation and stated that “The Inglewood Police Department has not uncovered any information which would have us believe that this is a targeted attack,” in an interview with NBC News.

The people involved with the assault have not been identified but a video footage taken within the area is currently procured by the police and investigators. Lt. Meeks said that they “are not going to leave no stone unturned.”
