Embarrassing video shows Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis stumbling off the stage during the presidential debate in Miami, Florida.

In the now-viral 6-second clip, DeSantis is briefly seen losing his footing as he steps down from the stage before regaining his composure. A voice can be heard in the video asking, “Oh, where’s he going?” The video has so far received 571,000 views as of writing.

“It’s hard to walk in heels, especially with all those bright lights in your eyes,” commented one user on the social media platform X, referencing the presidential hopeful’s use of boots with heels.

“Walking up and down stairs in heels isn’t easy. Women just make it look that way. DeSantis’s feet are so far out of contact with the floor he can’t feel it. [It’s] those long empty toes that trip him up,” another user commented.

This comes as DeSantis is struggling ahead of the Republican presidential primaries next year. Recent survey from The Economist and YouGov shows that 51 percent are still in favor of former President Donald Trump, while the Florida governor comes in second with only 14 percent.

Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy comes in a distant third with five percent. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley Haley comes in fourth with four percent, followed by former Vice President Mike Pence with three percent, former New Jersey Gov. Christie with two percent, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott with two percent.

DeSantis was recently roasted by conservative news personality Neil Cavuto about how the Florida Republincan is merely seen as an “alternative” to Trump and why he should drop out of the race instead.

“Nikki Haley has emerged as a strong polling favorite. She’s tied with you in Iowa, and that has come really following her very tough talk of not only supporting Israel and Ukraine but backing them both up with the money they need and not debating the issue,” Cavuto said.

“Now, do you fear you’re kind of threading the needle on this is hurting you, that she’s clear, you’re not, she’s gaining, you’re not? She’s seen as an acceptable number two to Donald Trump. You’re not,” he continued.
