Israel Supporters Slam ‘Squad’ For Misinformation

Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib and her “Squad” are drawing flak after blaming Israel for the recent bombing of a Gaza Strip hospital.

Tlaib, along with fellow “Squad”-mates New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Minnesotta Rep. Ilhan Omar, directed the blame toward the Israeli military after a rocket attack at the Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza killed 500 people.

“As an American, not just as a member of the United States Congress, I am ashamed. I am ashamed that they’re saying, ‘not yet. Maybe next week.’ … How many more have to die?” Tlaib said.

Both Tlaib and Omar have been receiving criticism for what others are calling their past comments as Islamophobic.

“She was claiming through that retweet that Israel had killed these children. And of course, the photo was from a decade ago in a different country. It was a lie. But her impulse, her instinct was to try to blame the Israelis for the death of children,” Fox News contributor Guy Benson said.

“The truth dies in war,” said fellow network host Will Cain. “I consider it the job of our elected leaders to share the truth with their people. So I cannot abide in Ilhan Omar or anyone else, for that matter, participating in the propaganda. And it puts the onus on us. It’s our job to sort out the propaganda and do our best to tell the truth.”

The Michigan Democrat also slammed President Joe Biden for his continued support for Israel since the Iran-backed Hamas attacked Israel and invaded towns along the Gaza border, killing at least 700 people.

“To my president, to our president … I want him to know, as a Palestinian American and somebody in Muslim faith, I’m not going to forget this. And I think a lot of people are not going to forget this,” Tlaib said.

Ocasio-Cortez, meanwhile, warned about the “incredibly high” amount of misinformation on social media about the ongoing war between Israel and the terrorist organization Hamas.

“If you see a claim, photo, or video that triggers a strong emotional reaction, take a moment to pause and check for veracity/confirmation from multiple sources,” the New York congressman wrote on the social media platform X.

The White House and the Israeli government have determined that the hospital explosion was caused by a misfired Islamic Jihad rocket from Palestine.
