Apple CEO Visits Vietnam’s Biggest Manufacturing Hub!

Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, went to Vietnam, more specifically Hanoi, because his company wanted to expand its sales to new areas. Apple might expand into other areas after reports said iPhone sales dropped by at least 10% in the first quarter of this year, according to the International Data Corporation.

A lot of companies are trying to beat Apple right now, especially in China. As Apple tries to move production out of China, Vietnam has become a key place for manufacturing and Apple is now Vietnam’s third-largest smartphone seller.

It was reported a few months ago that the tech giant was moving the production of their iPad to Vietnam. Since then, they have been working on making the MacBook, iPad, and Apple Watch.

“Vietnam is important to Apple because it has a growing number of fans there, and the industry is hedging its bets by expanding its manufacturing beyond China,” said Bryan Ma, vice president of client products research at the International Data Corporation. In important places like Vietnam, where Samsung has had a foothold for a long time in the north, this includes it.

People in India have also seen a lot of Apple products. Their goods, like the iPhone, will now be made in India, and they want to move more production there in the future. India is also a big market for the tech giant’s customers, so it makes sense for the company to look into making their goods there.
